The Golden Shuttle is a free transportation service and runs on a 30 min schedule Monday-Saturday from 6am – 6:30 pm. However, if you need to get campus not in those times, you can call them to pick you up! More information can be found here: https://inside.mines.edu/UserFiles/File/facilities/RTD%20Mines%20Park%20Residence.pdf

Thanks for reaching out! We’re glad you’re interested in USG and what we’re doing.
First off, we apologize that you’re upset over allocations. While some of the numbers and budget management you described are incorrect, we invite you to learn more about the Student Fee allocations process. Tonight during our regular Senate meeting at 6:45 in BE205, we will begin small presentations from each governing body on spending and what each is using their allocated money for.
Our treasurer is also available during office hours throughout the week and can help you understand the USG budget. Treasurer office hours can be found on our website, usg.mines.edu. Any fee-paying student can request an expense report from the treasurer at any time during the academic year.
In addition, we also have allocation meetings scheduled later in the semester for the actual process where governing bodies complete formal presentations and decide on money…

Twice this semester I have been significantly late to a class simply because of how unreliable finding parking is at Mines. Usually I can arrive to park in a general lot 10 minutes before my classes. But because there are so many lot closures at this school, and just inexplicable days where parking is worse, I have had it take over half an hour to get a spot. Half an hour to find a parking spot. For a class that is 50 minutes long. Honestly I don't think this school cares enough to do anything for students who commute, which happens to be the vast majority of students. And parking services is the least helpful group of people I think I have ever seen in charge of something. Next to Mines' USG, of course.
