Thanks for your input! We will send out a campus wide email this week about projects we’ve been working on as well as how to give feedback using this website. Hopefully this increases traffic but if its not effective then we will send out an email just about this website before the end of the semester so that people are aware of it. We post links on our facebook page every once in a while but that has so few followers that I don’t think its very effective.Henry Gotjen shared this idea · -

The Graduate Student Government is trying to extend the Mines email address out to 5 years. We will keep you updated on their progress!
UPDATE:This is a big topic and CCIT knows students want this. Last year there was not enough time to make the change but this year CCIT is starting earlier so current seniors can have this for when they graduate. USG can not promise this will happen this year but working with CCIT we hope it does.

The pedestrian zone will never leave, the school is trying to make Mines a pedestrian campus.

So this post is old, but we have new info! First, I believe a blinking light was put in to allow pedestrians to cross more easily, so hopefully that helped! However, part of the 6th and 19th crossing planning includes putting a roundabout at the 19th and Elm intersection. This won’t be in construction for another year or so but will probably cause some issues in the future. Just want to let you all know that USG voiced our concerns to the planning committee at the last meeting about 6th and 19th about the pedestrian crossing, but that is all we can do for now!
