    UPDATE:
Currently CTLM has a dedicated 24 hour computer lab with a lot of computers and software! Any student, no matter what major or year, can use these computers. USG acknowledges that there should be more space on campus for 24 hour dedicated computer labs. We will continue in the future to advocate for new computer labs. For example, the new library renovation project will create new space for more computer labs accessible to all students.

    Sincerely,
    USG

Update: It is in the short future of capital planning to create two more computer labs. One will be a teaching lab in Chauvenet and the other will be in Brown building. A definite timeline is not yet known. It is still a class project to work on longer access in Brown.

Update: One of the main reasons why getting access to this building is so difficult is because of…

Ok, so how are we doing on this one now another year past? If there have been "gross incidents" keeping us from accessing Brown, perhaps looking into the mining department would be a good place to start since they have 24/7 access. Or look at all of the logged "tape" from the cameras scattered all over the place. Another way to cut down on those kinds of problems is to only grant that access to juniors and seniors; we need it the most anyway.

And another thing about that whole area of Brown...really...the A/C is still pumping on 30 deg evenings?? Really Brown!? Engineering students can't work diligently with frozen fingertips!

UGH!!! I was under one of those power-less tables just the other day attempting to fix it to no avail. It drives me nuts too! Now, everyone's computer charger cables are all over the walkways throughout that common area. It's crazy that no one has tripped and cracked a rib yet.

This has been an ongoing project over the years. Currently our sophomore class is continuing it. If you have any specific questions about the progress you can email the president or representatives, every officer is listed on our website at http://mines.orgsync.com/org/usg/officers

    UPDATE
USG reached out to Brown to initiate this change but found it was not realistic. Apparently a lot of malicious actions were done in Brown when students had access. Even recently doors have been destroyed. Also, citing the lack of cameras in Brown, administration is not willing to accept this suggestion.

    UPDATE:

This issue has been resolved. USG treached out to facilities and a work order 92753 was made and accomplished.

    Love
    USG

The USG Sophomore Class sent out a survey about exam rooms and we received very valuable feedback on testing rooms. Berthoud 241 is one of the locations that need improvements and the Sophomore Class completely agrees with you. We are currently talking to the Registrar about changing/improving the exam rooms used in common hour exams.
    Thank you for you time!

    Sincerely,
    USG
