The SRC Hours
Physical wellness is extremely important for students for academic and emotional success. Most students have classes all day and need to de-stress after finishing their homework late at night. With the SRC closing so early, many have to resort to running around the streets at late hours such as 12am which can be extremely hazardous. So, could the SRC hours be changed to as late as the library hours (2am) or even 24hrs during the week? Certain areas, such as rock climbing or the pool which may be viewed as needing an SRC worker to be there could be closed until regular hours. Most people just want a place to safely run and de-stress. This will improve safety concerns, physical wellness, and emotional wellness leading to a healthier and happier campus.

Following further review, the hours were not changed due to the SRC not feeling that it would see enough use during the later hours to have students working during those times. Thank you for your concern and we appreciate you submitting your feedback to us!

I agree with USG on this one. Part of wellness is having good sleep habits, and it is hard on student workers to work late because a small percentage of gym-goers want to work out after midnight.
