Charge for electricity instead of time at the EV stations
Right now all of the EV chargers on campus cost $1 per hour regardless of how much electricity is consumed. This is a complete ripoff because the actual cost of electricity is only $0.10-$0.15 cents per kWh.
For example, the battery in my PHEV has a 10kWh capacity, and it charges at 3.3 kW per hour, so if the stations billed by kWh, that would come to $0.50 per hour for a total of $1.50 for the 3 hours needed to fully recharge. More cameras
If Golden is known for having such a high theft problem then why in god's name isn't their more cameras on Campus where there are bike racks. I had my bike stolen last week and it's probably long gone and since their aren't any cameras so theirs no way of catching the ******* that stole it. Seriously it's ******* ridiculous that I pay $60,000 for tuition and y'all can't hire someone to install some more ******* cameras.

Motion Lab New + Reduced Hours
I would like to discuss the idea of re-implementing the 8-11 hours for the motion lab below spruce
It seems a common sentiment that the current athletic facilities are often at capacity (Which is something I have personally seen myself)

General Beef
My beef is as follows: This school ******* sucks. You boast a high average starting salary only because its a STEM school, of course the average is going to be higher than a school with liberal arts degrees. You boast high job placement rate for the exact same reason. If I graduated from Boulder, I would also get a good first job, and after that first job, it doesn't matter where you went to school, only industry experience. Mines needs to better parking or lower the cost or lower parking costs and they need to add security
Parking sucks at mines, I’m paying over 300 dollars for a parking spot and the parking sucks. Not only that the AA lot is sketchy there should be a fence and some cameras as a woman I do not feel safe walking there alone and I don’t like parking me car there

Computers in Arthur lakes need to be fixed
There are multiple computers down at the library, I've counted 4 and there are many students that come to use computers here only to be turned away due to the ones that seem to be available are the ones that are down. This needs to be fixed as there will be more orediggers in the library once midterms get in full swing

Can Mines please not force the people not traveling during Thanksgiving break and wishing to get food from Mines Market to use munch money? This should be meal exchanges, not munch money.

Alderson Elevator
Someone really needs to fix the elevator in Alderson hall. It's been broken all semester and I don't think its okay that disabled and injured students are forced to climb multiple flights of stairs so get to class

Graffit Memorial
Not my original idea, but I believe we should erect a statue of K-9 Officer Graffit on campus. He lost his life protecting our community was overall a very good doggo.

Make Campus More Accessible
First off it would be great if buildings had better signage. It can be hard to find elevators and classrooms which can be a hardship for students with mobility problems, especially those of us who experience pain when walking. This is especially a problem in the old buildings that have new additions. It is very hard to find accessible routes to classrooms in various parts of the building.
Second, have functioning elevators in buildings. The elevator in Marquez has been down since around Thanksgiving 2021. There is only 1 elevator in Marquez so students with mobility problems cannot access their…5 votes -
Snooze button needed for course evaluation/survey reminders
It's that time of year again, when students are being asked to fill out course evaluations. To me, it's a very important chance to provide anonymous feedback to both the professors and to the university. I take it very seriously, and provide thoughtful feedback on all of my courses. Thoughtful feedback takes time and headspace to do, so when I get a reminder to fill out course evaluations every time I go to the Canvas homepage AND every time I click on one of my courses, it's frustrating! Water Bottle Filling Stations
There is a lack of water bottle filling stations, especially in Alderson Hall. Adding new stations (fountain and bottle filler) would make using a water bottle much easier. Even just transitioning water fountains (like the one near the east stairs in CTLM) to fountain/filler hybrids would be helpful.

Computers around campus
I've noticed that there are multiple computers facing service issues. Literally before my lab on tuesday I have to restart computers in marquez due to not being connected to the network. In the library there are multiple computers that people avoid due to there being problems of connectivity, either it doesnt connect with the display or the accesories (keyboard, mouse) do not work.

Coors Breakout 281 is always very hot.
The breakout rooms in the south corner of the Coors building are always extremely hot, even in the winter, with the heaters by the windows always running. I believe that the thermostat defaults to something around 80 degrees, and often times manually setting the thermostat to something reasonable gets canceled after a few minutes. Is it possible for this to be fixed?

Bring Back Grown @ Mines!
I've noticed it has been a while since Grown@Mines has been active, and their page has not posted any updates.. it was nice to see the community come together and grow quality organic produce and partner with Hunger@Mines.
As a gardening and plant enthusiast, I would love to see Mines or other student organizations to promote sustainability through aeroponics/hydroponics etc, partnering with local nurseries and garden centers etc.3 votes -
Give commuters another lot on campus until covid testing is done!
Currently the covid testing is taking up all of A lot and some of F lot. Given commuters already have limited places to park, we should be given access to another lot on campus. I lot by CTLM never has more than 10 cars in it and would be helpful for commuter students in finding parking.

Why isn't Zime operating at its full potential?
I think Zime has great potential as a dining location on campus. Coming into this year, I was expecting it to be revamped with a broader menu and indoor seating after having conversations with the workers there. Unfortunately, my expectation was not met at all. After a conversation today with one of the workers, I learned that the lack of improvements is in the school's hands. Zime has enough seating furniture to open at least half of the dining area, but I was told by the employee that the school wouldn't allow it. I was also told their lack of…

CTLM Planters
The planters in the ctlm foyer are gross and an eyesore. I would like to see them at least cleaned or removed, but it would be nice to have actual plants in there. I don't know what the original intention was with them but they do not seem to be serving the same purpose they once did. The space is really nice with big windows, beautiful art pieces and interesting architecture, but I feel like the planters just bring down the entire vibe.
