Campus should not be open at such high capacity in August.
As of writing this, on June 23rd, Colorado's daily COVID cases are in the same place they were in April. They're the highest they've been excluding the three peak weeks in May. Denver, Littleton, and JeffCo public schools all have plans in place to start remote, or start late. As time goes on, we'll likely see more schools switch.
Administration admitted that they do not have a metric for determining when the re-opening of campus to a majority of students is unsafe. Maybe it's time they come up with one.

My apologies on the lateness of our response. Firstly, there are many options remote and online classes. However for in person and hybrid classes, the Mines administration is taking many precautions to address this issue. You can check the current number of cases at the covid dashboard: https://www.mines.edu/coronavirus/covid-19-cases/

Very true. It doesn't make sense that the school is going to open now when they closed at the same levels in the spring. They are risking the lives of students for the sake of making money. They could at least switch to a system where lecture classes are online and labs are in person.
