Teachers should warn students about class cancellations prior to breaks at least a MONTH in advance!!!
Out of state students have to book flights pretty early to get the best rates. If teachers don't inform students about when they wont have classes, students cannot maximize their time with their families over the vacation.

The Faculty Senate has ruled that this is not a Senate issue. That being said, we encourage you to take class cancellations at face value and/or make this request to your teachers at the beginning of each semester.
