This has happened to me in multiple attendance mandatory classes! In Fall 2018, PHGN200 overfilled (at least) the 10 am section by over 10 people. For over 2/3 of the classes, there were students lining the floor on both sides of the CTLM lecture hall. This was the semester after the Physics department just got CoorsTek too--which doesn't have a large lecture hall because Mines is moving toward "active learning with small class sizes." It's extremely frustrating as a student to see Mines get PR for it's innovative learning practices (like this article https://www.forbes.com/sites/tomvanderark/2019/06/10/10-signs-of-progress-in-engineering-for-the-earth-energy-and-environment/#136f24346bec) when that's actually far from what's happening with the majority of classes.

I can assure you, the post was not removed by USG through this account. It appears that it was marked as spam and removed by another user. We share the same concern for the deletion of the post. We will be looking into this more as well.

Also, in regards to the last post, we have begun talks with administration in regards to the post and will keep students informed on our findings.

We apologize for the deletion and will be looking into it immediately!

The views expressed in this paper may be more or less radical than yours, the purpose of this event is two fold: (1) to raise awareness about this issue to campus leadership and (2) to gain concrete, tangible student feedback and points of change to bring to campus leadership. We value your opinion and insight even if it does not necessarily align with all of the points presented! Any opinions regarding these 4 issue areas are welcome and encouraged. We will have multiple ways to submit your feedback at the event, which we will compile and share after the event.

Good afternoon! Thank you for voicing your concern to us! After talking with President Johnson and confirming with Parking Services, we have confirmed that they will not be extending paid parking restricted hours on campus! As verified in the Daily Blast on 9/17/18, parking confirmed this to be true. FEAR NOT MINES, PARKING SHALL REMAIN 7am-5pm Monday-Friday! Let us know if any other concerns should arise! Thank you.
