    UPDATE:

This issue has been resolved. USG treached out to facilities and a work order 92753 was made and accomplished.

    Love
    USG

The USG Sophomore Class sent out a survey about exam rooms and we received very valuable feedback on testing rooms. Berthoud 241 is one of the locations that need improvements and the Sophomore Class completely agrees with you. We are currently talking to the Registrar about changing/improving the exam rooms used in common hour exams.
    Thank you for you time!

    Sincerely,
    USG

I have to take a class in that room and it drives me nuts that the chairs 1) squeak at ANY slight movement/readjustment and 2) provide absolutely NO back support at all. If I try to shift my weight to the back of the chair, it leans back. All the way back. I'm staring at the ceiling. And the desks are WAY to small to use for anything - they don't fit my spiral notebook and god forbid I need to take a test/quiz with the questions paper, my equations sheet, my calculator, and possibly a scantron. Everything is in my lap besides what I'm writing on, and even then I'm moving the paper so that there is a hard surface beneath where on it I need to write. The chairs/desks in BE 241 just don't make any sense. I also don't understand why that room has curtains.

I agree wholeheartedly. I live in Mines Park and I learned about the threat via YikYak as it happened because someone said 19th street was closed off with police just after the 6th intersection. I was in my room and pretty scared, especially since none of the apartments have deadbolts. I have been talking to ResLife since then about getting deadbolts in Mines Park for safety, since anyone can walk into the complex. The same push-lock mechanism for my bathroom door should not be the only thing protecting me from some rando breaking in.

USG has engaged in a conversation with Sodexo about the meal exchanges. We are looking into the contract with them to see if we are able to bring them back. We will keep you updated as we work on this.

You can also attend the Food Committee Meeting on Friday at 12pm in Mines Market to voice this concern.

    UPDATE

USG has been able to extend hours at Mines Market, but not yet bring back meal exchanges. Thant is something we will continue to work toward for next school year.

USG worked hard last year with the LAIS language department to stop certain language classes from being cut. Unfortunately there was a lack of enrollment for some of these classes and the funding moved elsewhere in the LAIS department.

If you feel that the language program should be added to in the future, and not cut, please make a new post and get people to vote for it. USG will fight for you if you show there is a need.
