Bring back Zime meal exchange options
As a first year student living on campus, there are not many dining opportunities in general. You've got charred chicken at Qdoba, mystery meat at wow cafe, mines market, and now, zime. And if its a weekend, all you've got only mines market operating on limited hours, so tough luck if you want to do something before 9 AM.
Of all those, I found zime to be the only thing I could consistently choke down, and it made for a great place for a lunch break with plenty of room to study at the tables. Now the school wants to save some money, so I can't get turkey on my sandwich anymore? I can't even get a bag of chips, they charge extra for that now. The so called meal exchange is a fist-sized cheese sandwich and a bottle of water, and if you do the math I am paying about $12 for this meal. I'm not saying I want the meal plan to be more affordable (but it should), I'm not saying I want the school to use all of its dining locations, I'm not even saying that I want to go to mines market without getting food poisoning. I just want a turkey sandwich, a cup of coffee, and a bag of chips like I got last semester. Again, I don't like to complain, I get served food daily which is pretty great, but I'm also paying an arm and a leg for it, I'd like to see a little more work put in for that price. Thanks for listening.
