Do we (or any other school) really need homecoming royalty?
I realize this is meant to be a good-natured diversion, but this sanctioned popularity contest is an antiquated tradition rooted in classism and gender-binarism. Isn't it time to end the monarchy?

Thank you for your engagement. USG does not plan or run homecoming. MAC does run these events and send a rep to our senate meetings (Tues night at 6:30pm). You can find the zoom link for USG senate and contact information for the MAC representative on our website: https://usg.mines.edu/
